The late Lee Joo-sil passes away… Fellow actress pays heartbreaking tribute

[TV Report=Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Actress Shim Eun-kyung delivered a message of remembrance for the late Lee Joo-sil.
On the 3rd, Shim Eun-kyung opened up on her personal channel, saying, “I first met my teacher when I was young through the KBS one-act play ‘Kkotnim’.”
He continued, “I still remember the warmth with which he encouraged and guided me when I was young, even though my acting was good, and I was always nervous,” and recalled his memories with the deceased, saying, “The teacher’s kindness has guided me until now.”
Shim Eun-kyung said, “I really wanted to see you in the same production after that,” and added, “May you rest in peace, Mr. Lee Joo-sil. Thank you so much. I pray for the repose of his soul.”
Actress Lee Joo-sil passed away on the 2nd after battling stomach cancer. She was 81 years old.
The deceased was diagnosed with stage 1993 breast cancer in 3, but was declared fully recovered after 10 years of chemotherapy. However, in November of last year, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and had been battling the disease. On the 11nd, she was transferred to Catholic University Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, where she received CPR but eventually passed away.
The funeral of the late Lee Ju-sil was held in room 3 of the funeral hall at Sinchon Severance Hospital on the 3rd. It is known that the funeral is being watched over by her son-in-law and two daughters, and the burial site has not been decided yet.
Meanwhile, Lee Joo-sil debuted as a stage actress in 1965 and received much love for her appearances in numerous works, including the dramas “The Uncanny Counter,” “Let Me Hear Your Song,” and the movies “Mojasan Book” and “Homage.” The deceased’s last work was Netflix’s “Squid Game Season 2,” which was released at the end of last year. She played the role of detective Hwang Joon-ho’s (Wi Ha-jun) mother and gave a passionate performance.
